Hello! My name is Cath Mattison and I am a registered speech and language therapist with a background in nursing. I am a member of RCSLT, HPC and ASLTIP. I have eight years experience with the NHS and twelve years as an independent therapist.  

I have worked in a wide range of settings including clinics, nurseries, hospitals and schools with children of all ages. However, most of my work has been with pre-school children with speech, language and communication difficulties as this is of particular interest to me.

I have four children of my own, all close in age - in fact I had four under the age of four at one point - and they were bombarded with speech and language therapy techniques literally from birth! It paid off. All four of them were communicating well at an exceptionally early age, using a mixture of speech and sign language, and I found the knock-on effects were significant e.g. behaviour, confidence.
